National Watermelon Day!!!

Today is my my preferred day of the year = national Watermelon Day!!!

Before I began celebrating this extremely important holiday I attempted a tempo run. I state “attempted” since I did not feel quick today as well as truly struggled

I did the exact same path as last weeks tempo – 1 mile warm up, 4 tempo (tried at least), 1 awesome down.

Last week’s numbers from the precise exact same run:

Today my splits were:

Mile 1: 8:56

Mile 2: 8:33

Mile 3: 8:49

Mile 4: 8:09

Mile 5: 8:16

Mile 6: cut short however speed was around 9:20

I was quicker last week. But, more significantly I just felt much better last tempo run too. I felt great as well as speedy. Today I felt sluggish.

Tomorrow is a rest day as well as I have my long run arranged for Friday since of Blogher!!! ideally a day of rest will recharge me

Since today is national Watermelon Day I thought about eating my preferred fruit for breakfast. But, decided to save that for lunch (and snack as well as dinner). Instead, I made pumpkin protein pancakes – on a watermelon placemat!
